The association's main purpose is to bring the community together with a common goal of making the High bridge area a safe, prosperous, and healthy community for all who live and visit here.

Highlights of September 10th Meeting

Our guest speaker for the evening was Lt. Dominick Dagostino of the Rotterdam Police Department’s Detective Division who spoke about possible sex offenders living in our neighborhood. He also spoke of ways for residents to stay safe in the area.

President Roslyn Warlik called the meeting to order at 8 p.m. Art Doyle led us in the pledge of allegiance. A moment of silence was observed for our deceased members. Both the Secretary’s minutes and Treasurer’s report were approved.

Tom Vara, our new Financial Secretary, gave a report on monies collected from advertisers during the past month. Three of our loyal advertisers have opted to pre-pay their l0 month ad and enjoy a l0% discount for doing so. They are: Casa Visco Finer Foods, Highbridge Mobil and Lange’s Pharmacy. Please continue to patronize these faithful advertisers who help us serve our Highbridge community. We thank them for their support.

A new family will be identified so as to continue our annual Adopt A Family Program. More information will follow in the coming months.

The HCA will continue its participation in the Newspapers in Education Program sponsored by the Daily Gazette. We will again sponsor 3 Mohonasen students who will receive the newspaper on a daily basis. Look for our name in the ad printed in the Daily Gazette identifying program sponsors.
